MattyB’s formative years were spent roaming the streets of Stoughton (Toughtown USA!!!), on the south shore of Boston. He spent his days catching frogs, building tree forts and general shennanigans. Once puberty hit he soon realized that his boyish good looks would be turning into something out of Michael Jackson's ‘Thriller” video (still his favorite video to this day).

It was in high school that MattyB discovered the wonderful world of 80’s hair metal, punk rock and beer. He spent his college years at Hofstra University in Long Island, New York…a stone’s throw from the biggest (but, definitely not best) city in the country, NYC. When he wasn’t in an alcohol induced coma, MattyB was rocking out at 88.7 fm WRHU, spinning classic and punk rock records (that’s right vinyl all the way baby.) after graduation he spent the next few years doing construction and other odds and end jobs. He landed here at the legendary PIXY 103 in the fall of ‘05 and the Cape hasn’t been that same since…and never will be.

Biggest Accomplishment: I was the opening act for Dave Chappele doing stand up in college…I had never done it before and have never done it since.

Musical Talents: I am a karaoke extraordinaire…I do, “Friend’s in Low Places”, “Just a Gigolo”, Metallica’s “Turn the Page”, “Ain’t Nuthin’ But a G Thang”, and a mean version of “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” I also play the guitar, well at least I attempt to...

How I Got into Radio: In high school, I decided I wanted to live the easiest, most irresponsible life possible…since I wasn't talented enough to be a rock star, radio seemed the perfect fit.

What I Do at PIXY 103: Afternoon drive Jock and resident wild man/tough guy/boozebag.

Favorite Classic Rock Band: The Doors and Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band.

Favorite New Band: Tool, A Perfect Circle, Rebel Meets Rebel, System of a Down, Danko Jones, Queens of the Stone Age, and Flogging Molly.

Album That Changed My Life: Minor Threat- Discography, it changed me from a high school loser, who never made it with the ladies to a high school loser who never made it with the ladies…who listened to punk rock.

Favorite Foods: Buffalo Chicken, Buffalo Chicken Pizza from Dino’s, Buffalo Chicken Calzone…noticing a trend?

Best TV Shows: LOST, Family Guy, the Boondocks, American Dad, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, MXC, CSI: Miami, The Sopranos, Dirty Jobs, Mythbusters.

Favorite Alcoholic Beverage: Guinness or a Surfer on Acid (Malibu/Jagermeister/Pineapple juice).
